What Is the HTSA?

HTSA represents the elite tier of technology integration companies across North America. Originally founded as the Home Theater Specialists of America, the organization evolved alongside the industry to encompass the full spectrum of home technology integration. Membership is highly selective, with specific criteria that firms must meet to join and maintain their status. As the only industry member-driven trade consortium of its kind, HTSA ensures its members maintain the highest standards of technical expertise, business practices, and customer service.

Today, HTSA spans 40 states with over 150 design centers, connecting the finest custom integrators and technology specialists in the business. We send our leadership to the spring and fall HTSA conferences every year, and our commitment doesn’t end there. Recently, our project management capabilities were enhanced when two of our key team members completed HTSA's comprehensive project management training program. Additionally, one of our new team members completed HTSA’s Tech Level 1 Masterclass, a foundational training to help us introduce new technicians into the industry. This class covers everything a new technician needs to get started, including electrical basics, cable pulling, retrofit, project documentation, as well as a technician’s responsibilities at each phase of installation.

Barrett's also participated in HTSA's recent business development conference, which helps members identify new market opportunities and enhance client services. This ongoing investment in our team's development ensures we remain at the forefront of home technology integration in the greater Chicago area.
